Alessia Kish
Created by a woman for all women
Alessia Kish is the mind and heart behind Kysh Cosmetics.
Her idea of self-care is an invitation to love and care for every part of your body, including the intimate area, with specific, safe and effective products.
This is why I created Kysh, the Italian intimate care brand born from the desire to free the conversation about the vulva from years of stereotypes, embarrassment and taboos.
A project curated down to the smallest details, from the formulas to the fragrances, passing through the aesthetics of elegant, welcoming and safe taste, designed for all women.

How did your passion for the beauty world begin?
I have always had a passion for the world of beauty, since my earliest childhood memories. Beauty is a world that excites me so much. In this sense, my first love was perfumes: there are many forms of art, and for me perfumes are one of them.
When we look at a painting or hear a song we have different times to get excited, with perfumes instead we have an immediate return. And this is why for me fragrances are so important, because they are able to arouse emotions in a total and immediate way, and they are a very powerful means that in a few seconds can revive forgotten moments of life, make us feel beautiful, strong, serene or self-confident.
My dream has always been to enter this world, and so after my academic career in the creative field I began to take my first steps in the world of work as an assistant for events and marketing, e-commerce manager for some Italian beauty companies, and as a project manager for a national pharmaceutical company.
What is the story behind the birth of Kysh?
It was 2017, long before I started working in beauty, and I was talking to my friends about how irritating waxing was for the skin in such a sensitive area as the groin, and how difficult it was to find safe, reliable and specific products for the female intimate area without having to go to the pharmacy or the sex shop. There was no Italian brand dedicated entirely to the V-zone that was pure skincare, without having to descend into the clinical or sexually connoted.
So I started doing research, also looking at overseas brands and finding some that reflected my idea of intimate area care. But I still felt a bit immature and I knew that I would first want to gain some work experience in the sector, so I put everything on hold. I only picked up this project again when I felt really ready. And that's how Kysh was born. I created a brand that would serve me first, and then be suitable for every woman.
What is your approach to self-care?
I never give up the pleasure of a daily skincare routine: not just the face: I use different products for each part of the body, including the intimate area. The choice of perfume is then a fundamental moment, which I choose depending on my mood or the type of day that awaits me. Finally, when I have a little more time (even twenty minutes is enough) I indulge in the pleasure of a relaxing hot bath, submerged in soaps, essential oils and very fragrant bubbles.
We always hear a lot about safety, acceptance, body positivity. How do these concepts relate to vulvar care?
It's a complicated question and I think there is no universal correct answer for every woman. So I'll start from myself, from my experience. In life I've often had to deal with a lack of self-confidence, in my body. And often taking care of it even when I would have liked it to be different has been a revolutionary act of self-love.
I believe that our beauty and uniqueness should be a source of trust and security, far from the canons and stereotypes that want us different. And that big changes start from small gestures, including taking care of ourselves. Which must be global, and also involve those areas that are often taboo, such as the intimate area.
